5:1 Ratio model of the Seated Figure of Yakushi Nyorai [Skt. Bhaisajyaguru] Belonging to Main Hall of Enichiji Temple in Fukushima Prefecture (2017)

When creating a huge statue like that of Enichiji Temple’s Yakushi Nyorai, it is necessary to make comprehensive plans. The shape, the quantity of timber required and its structure, etc. all have to be studied in detail and to this end, it is necessary to produce scale models for every stage. For this reproduction we created one clay model, two wooden models and also utilized 3D modeling, employing various materials. The model shown here was created to plan the patinated coloring.
